More than 3 years have passed since I started to train with Jean Staven. When we started, we were dealing with pre-surgery conditioning and getting ready to have double knee replacement. My knees were replaced 2 1/2 years ago. The training and re-hab that we went through has been a total success.
Today we are putting more emphasis on conditioning and flexibility. Pilaties has been very important in the quest to regain and improve the athletic ability that I had prior to having surgery on my knees. Jean's hard work and organization with my conditioning program has helped me achieve my goals in my hobby which is Cowboy Action Shooting. This year, I have competed in the Illinios and Iowa State Championships. I have won the Men's Senior division in both states. Minnesota and Wisconsin will be at the end of the season. We are getting ready for those championships.
Without Jean and Pilates these goals would not have been achieved. Remember that you will always default to your level of conditioning and your level of practice. It helps to surround yourself with the best training possible. To achieve your goals for tomorrow you need to start today.
P.S. I’m still having Jean challenge my core with Pilates. I’ll
be 65 in November and going strong!
